The wish was very clear: a villa with a pool, close to the sea, plenty of shade because the lady couldn’t be in the sun, a safe environment that would also be interesting for the teenagers, enough space for eight people, parking—and above all, the feeling that the parents would be able to relax as well.
In practice, that means everything has to be carefully thought through.
When teenagers are part of the story, they need enough freedom, interesting activities, and the feeling that something is always happening. Parents, on the other hand, need peace of mind—knowing everything is safe and under control.
Because Mošćenička Draga feels like home to me, we quickly found the right solution: a villa just above the town, peaceful, surrounded by pine trees, with plenty of shade, a swimming pool, four bedrooms, two floors, and a large plot of land. It wasn’t exactly within walking distance to the beach, but that was easy to solve. We arranged parking by the beach and transportation back and forth, so everything flowed effortlessly.
It was also important that the teenagers could go into town on their own and still have enough to enjoy—two beach bars, live music, great food, a strong sense of safety, and enough activity to keep things interesting.
After that, everything came together naturally.
Restaurant reservations, fresh fish and a grill master at the villa, daily deliveries of fruit and vegetables, local olive oil, wine, and homemade cheese. Once you connect with the local community, everything takes on a different value.
Since they stayed for two weeks, we added a few excursions: one day to Buzet and Motovun for wine, truffles, and prosciutto; a day at Istralandia for the children; then a boat trip to Cres, an evening visit to Opatija, and some relaxed time at local fishermen’s festivals.
In the end, the most beautiful part was that the guests didn’t have to think much at all.
They simply let themselves relax.
And that is what means the most to me—when people trust that my team and I will take care of everything, from the smallest details to the moments that stay with them.
Sometimes it’s almost invisible: fresh homemade food waiting at the door, transportation ready when needed, the quiet reassurance that the children are safe in town.
That quiet feeling that everything is taken care of.
